Part-Time Live-out Cook/Household Assistant | Miami, FL

A private couple residing in a luxury downtown Miami high-rise apartment is seeking a talented and passionate live-out Private Cook with the ability to assist with light household organization as needed. The couple lives without children or pets and maintains a refined, low-maintenance home environment. This is a part time position working 20 hours across three days per week, with the potential to grow into a full time role for the right candidate.

 

The ideal candidate is a skilled home-style cook with a love for Asian cuisine and the versatility to support a beautifully kept home with light cleaning assistance when needed. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who thrives in a calm, professional household and is looking to build a long-term relationship with a discerning and well-traveled couple. 

 

The principals travel internationally on an annual basis, sometimes for extended periods, and would like the candidate to be available to travel with them. This includes assisting with packing, logistics coordination, and handling any needs that arise while abroad. Mandarin speaking skills are a huge plus!

 

 

• Perform upkeep of a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom luxury apartment; the couple has a housekeeper
• Prepare authentic, homestyle Chinese meals per the principal’s preferences and dietary needs
• Cook in advance to provide meals that carry over to non-working days
• Assist with personal assistant tasks including booking flights, hotels, and ground transportation
• Support planning and preparation for small private gatherings and business entertaining at the residence
• Manage grocery shopping, household errands, and general household organization
• Assist with closet organization and care of personal belongings
• Travel internationally with the principals as needed, including packing, logistics support, and on-the-ground assistance
• Coordinate and manage various personal tasks as directed by the principals

 

Desired Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience cooking authentic, homestyle Chinese cuisine is required
• Previous experience in a private household setting
• Strong organizational skills
• Comfortable with occasional international travel
• Mandarin speaking ability is preferred but not required
• Warm, professional, and discreet demeanor
• Proactive and adaptable with the ability to anticipate the needs of the principals

 

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of private household experience
• Valid US work authorization required
• Valid driver’s license & US Passport
• Strong verifiable references required

 

Salary & Benefits:

• Compensation is commensurate with experience; part-time hourly rate in the range of $40 to $45 per hour
• Travel compensation provided for international travel with the principals
