Heart of the Role

Our client is seeking a Travel Chef to work within a team of Chefs to support a private household. With frequent travel to Miami, this is a structured, independent position for a chef who takes complete ownership of the kitchen — including planning, sourcing, execution, and organization and adherence to culinary guidelines,

Discretion is fundamental. The chef will work in a private, high-trust environment with regular family interaction and must operate with sound judgment, strong boundaries, and complete confidentiality at all times.

The role is manageable and runs smoothly once the chef is fully up to speed on the family’s preferences and dietary protocols. The expectation is consistency and reliability day to day.

The food is clean, high-quality, and consistent rather than overly complex. There is a defined set of dietary requirements, including strict allergy protocols, which must be followed precisely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily lunch and dinner for the family

  • Execute within established dietary guidelines and preferences

  • Maintain strict adherence to allergy protocols

  • Oversee all sourcing, shopping, and kitchen organization

  • Plan and execute weekly menus

  • Travel regularly to Miami and work across multiple residences

  • Prepare occasional meals for small groups (typically under 10)

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen

  • Operate professionally in an open kitchen environment with regular family interaction

Qualifications

  • Executive Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine experience in a well-regarded or fine dining restaurant (required)

  • Minimum 4 years of Private Chef experience (required)

  • Proven ability to run a kitchen independently with structure and consistency

  • Strong understanding of food safety, dietary restrictions, and allergies

  • High level of discretion and professionalism in private settings

  • Comfortable with frequent travel

  • References and background check required

Additional Details

  • Travel: Frequent (primarily Miami)
  • Schedule: Typically 9:30am – 6:30/7:30pm; flexibility required
  • Environment: Private, discreet household that values privacy.
  • Benefits include dependent health coverage
