POSITION OVERVIEW:
A busy and active family of four is seeking an experienced, proactive, and highly organized Household Manager / Family Assistant to oversee the day-to-day operation of their 4,700 sq. ft. residence. The ideal candidate will take full ownership of household management, ensuring the home operates seamlessly while providing exceptional support to both the principals and their children.
This role requires a polished yet approachable professional who is service-oriented, detail-focused, and able to anticipate needs before they arise. The successful candidate will foster a warm, welcoming family environment while maintaining the highest standards of discretion, professionalism, and household efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Household Management
Vendor & Property Oversight
- Coordinate and supervise household vendors, service providers, and deliveries.
- Source, interview, negotiate with, and oversee contractors and vendors.
- Ensure household maintenance and repair projects are completed efficiently.
- Monitor household systems and proactively address maintenance needs.
Household Administration
- Manage household accounts, bills, insurance policies, and related paperwork.
- Maintain household records and important documentation.
- Coordinate sending and receiving of packages and correspondence.
- Track household inventories and replenish supplies as needed.
Vehicle Management
- Maintain vehicle service schedules.
- Coordinate maintenance, repairs, inspections, and rental vehicles when required.
Household Operations
- Complete household laundry twice weekly, including linens and towels.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchens and common living areas.
- Manage wine collection inventory and liquor cabinet supplies.
- Coordinate personal shopping, errands, and household purchasing.
- Research and recommend gifts for family, friends, and special occasions.
Event & Lifestyle Management
- Coordinate family activities and outings.
- Maintain family calendars and activity schedules.
- Plan and execute family celebrations, birthday parties, and entertaining events.
- Coordinate catering and special event logistics.
- Assist with travel planning and vacation arrangements.
- Organize seasonal setup and removal of holiday decorations.
Family Archives & Special Projects
- Organize and maintain the family photo library.
- Produce annual family photo albums.
- Design, order, and manage annual holiday cards.
- Maintain and update family contact and mailing lists.
Meal Planning & Household Support
- Plan and prepare family dinners Monday through Thursday.
- Assist with simple meal preparation as needed.
- Coordinate grocery purchasing and kitchen inventory.
Pet Care
- Coordinate veterinary appointments.
- Transport pets to and from veterinary visits.
- Provide pet care and house sitting during family travel, unless on approved vacation.
Child-Related Responsibilities
Scheduling & Coordination
- Maintain school calendars and activity schedules.
- Track school requirements, projects, special events, registrations, and deadlines.
- Monitor library book returns and other school obligations.
Transportation
- Transport children to and from school, appointments, and activities.
- Occasionally transport children to the family’s second home in Marble Falls, Texas.
Daily Support
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks, particularly when a principal is traveling.
- Supervise tutors and educational support providers as needed.
- Ensure completion of daily homework assignments.
- Support children in maintaining organized bedrooms, belongings, and personal hygiene.
- Assist with occasional bathing needs for the younger child.
- Pack and organize children's belongings for family travel.
School Break & Vacation Coverage
- Provide supervision and engagement during school holidays and vacation days when principals are working.
- Plan age-appropriate activities and outings during school breaks.
Seasonal Organization
- Conduct seasonal clothing reviews.
- Organize closets and recommend necessary clothing or supply purchases.

- Previous experience managing a private residence for a high-net-worth family.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
