A warm family with a Manhattan residence is seeking an experienced, nurturing Nanny on a temporary, live-out basis to care for their 2-year-old. The role runs from late October to mid-January, working Tuesday through Saturday. The successful candidate will provide engaged, loving daily care with a focus on age-appropriate play, developmental support, and consistent daily routines.
Responsibilities:
Provide attentive, nurturing daily care for the child — meals, snacks, hygiene, naps, and routines.
Plan and lead educational activities that encourage language, motor skills, creativity, and independence — reading, singing, art, sensory play, outdoor outings, and visits to local parks and playgrounds.
Support developmental milestones and social development with warmth and consistency.
Maintain a calm, safe, and tidy environment in the child's spaces (toys, play areas, child laundry, light meal prep).
Coordinate closely with the parents on routine, progress, and the child's evolving needs.
Requirements:
Proven nanny experience with toddlers.
Fluent English.
Comfortable with encouraging no-screen-time for the child
Previous experience working with HNW families, desirable
Reliable, punctual, and discreet; comfortable in a private household setting.
Valid US work authorisation.
CPR / Pediatric First Aid certification preferred.
Available Tuesday through Saturday for the full duration of the assignment.
Working Hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 11:00 am – 7:00 pm (40 hours per week), Sundays and Mondays off, as well as - Christmas eve, Christmas Day, December 27th, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
