A refined, couple in Greenwich is seeking a professional Housekeeper to join a team in a large, multi-story private home. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and service-minded, with prior experience in high-end residences and comfort balancing hands-on housekeeping with simple household service.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-scale housekeeping for assigned areas of a large, multi-floor home, including daily upkeep and rotating deep cleaning.
- Careful cleaning of fine finishes, furnishings, and fixtures to a high standard.
- Daily bed-making, bathroom refreshes, and maintaining a tidy, organized appearance in all principal areas.
- Household laundry, including washing, folding, and basic ironing/steaming as needed.
- Simple breakfast preparation for Mrs. on working mornings (e.g., eggs or oats) and daily smoothies; heating/finishing proteins and items prepared by the chef when needed.
- Light lunch and dinner service on approximately two days per week (setting up, serving, and clearing).
- Assistance with dinner parties approximately, including table setting, service, and full cleanup.
- Walking and basic care of the family dog, including occasional bathing.
- Working cooperatively with the other housekeeper and broader household staff, following established routines and standards.
- Maintaining a calm, professional demeanor and a discreet presence in the home at all times.
Schedule
- Five days per week, with a combination of early shifts (approximately 6:00 AM–2:00 PM) and later shifts (approximately 11:30 AM–7:30 PM).
- Current rotation includes some Thursday–Monday coverage; exact days can be discussed with the right candidate.
- Flexibility to work selected holidays and to support evening events as needed (with notice and appropriate overtime pay where applicable).
Compensation & Benefits
- $40/hour
- Paid time off and paid major holidays.

Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a private household, luxury residence, or similar high-standard environment.
- Strong housekeeping skills, including deep cleaning and meticulous attention to detail.
- Confident with laundry and basic garment/linen care.
- Comfortable with very simple, home-style food preparation (breakfast items, smoothies, finishing/reheating prepared dishes) and informal table service.
- Genuine comfort around dogs and willingness to assist with walking and basic bathing.
- High level of discretion, professionalism, and respect for privacy.
- Energetic and physically able to work in a large, multi-story home with stairs.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude; able to take direction and also work independently.
- Reliable transportation to Greenwich; legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Strong references from previous private household positions.
