Housekeeper / Family Assistant

A wonderful family located in the Arkansas  countryside seeks an highly organized, detail oriented housekeeper / Family Assistant to maintain their residence full time, year round and to assist current family assistant  with the smooth operation of the home. This is a hands on role requiring flexibility and a proactive mindset.  Weekend and evening hours will be required. The family has 2 indoor cats and a dog so the candidate must be pet friendly. Some travel will required. 

Responsibilities to Include:

- General housekeeping duties

• Tidy all living area's and garages daily to ensure spaces are clean and presentable
• Organize pantry's and refrigerators daily, Replenish beverages, snacks and paper products
• Wipe down kitchen countertops, Cabinets, Stovetops
• Clean Oven when needed
• Check expiration dates on all food and beverages 
• Empty and reload dishwashers daily
• Take trash out
• Refill pet food dishes and water , Clean out litter boxes
• Laundry & Wardrobe care, Seasonal closet changes for the Mr.
• Manage all household laundry, including towels. Wash, Dry, Iron as needed, steam and put away.Include sheets, Pilowcases and comforter covers 
• Drop off, Pick up dry cleaning & Alterations, Inspect, Change hangers and put away 
• Clean Bathrooms, Replenish toiletries, towels etc daily
• Handle internet shopping returns and related errands
• Grocery shopping both locally and to Hotsprings for good quality Meats and produce
• Take pets to Veterinary and grooming appointments
• Vacuum, Sweep, dry & wet mop throughout
• Dust and polish
• Polish silver occasionally
• Knowledge of a garden and ability to maintain, water, weed, Pest control, Harvest and preservation of fruits & Vegetables
• Excellent cooking skills (Especially Southern cooking)
• Accompany & Assist Principles during meals and ensure medications are taken
• Packing and unpacking for trips
• Assist with holiday (Christmas) decorating
• Driving occassionally
• Supervise vendors while inside the residence

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar role. Be a self starter, Provactive, Take initiative, Anticipate the families needs and be flexible with an ever changing environment, Strong communication skills.
