Location: Santa Monica, CA, 90402
Hours: 24 guaranteed hours per week, flexibility required
Schedule: Typically three 8-hour days per week. Flexible on days and times, with some hybrid work possible when appropriate. Schedule will vary based on the family's needs, so flexibility is strongly preferred.
Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a reliable and proactive Personal & Business Assistant to provide support in managing household operations, personal errands, administrative tasks, and light business support. This role will support both the primary principal and a colleague within the business, requiring strong communication and collaboration skills. As the primary is very busy, the business colleague will be helping with bridging the gap. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, resourceful, and comfortable working independently while anticipating needs and taking initiative. This role requires strong follow-through, discretion, flexibility, and a service-oriented mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing administrative and organizational support to both the principal and a business colleague (as needed)
- Collaborating with business colleague
- Household maintenance tracking and oversight
- Household calendar management and appointment scheduling
- Vendor sourcing, coordination, and management
- Household inventory management and supply restocking
- Running errands, personal shopping, and returns
- Mail sorting, organization, and light household administration
- Business data entry, spreadsheet management, and record keeping
- Scanning, filing, and maintaining digital documents and records
- Completing deposit slips and coordinating bank deposits
- Administrative support, special projects, and ad hoc requests
- Providing flexible support as personal and business needs evolve
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant, Family Assistant, House Manager, or similar support role
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through independently
- Professional, proactive, and highly trustworthy
- Comfortable supporting both personal and business-related tasks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Tech-savvy and proficient with spreadsheets, digital filing systems, and administrative tools
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Flexible, adaptable, and service-oriented
Compensation: $55-65/hour, final compensation DOE
