Role Overview
We are seeking a reliable and highly adaptable Stew/Nanny to join a private family in a
high-trust, international environment. This is a hybrid role combining newborn childcare
with stewardess-style service duties, primarily based on board a private yacht.
The position will be mainly yacht-based in Europe, with occasional travel to private
residences and international destinations. The ideal candidate will be nurturing, discreet,
highly organized and comfortable working in dynamic, high-standard environments at sea.
Key Responsibilities
Childcare (Primary Focus)
Daily care and support for a newborn (feeding, hygiene, sleep routines)
Ensuring a safe, calm and nurturing environment onboard
Supporting developmental routines in collaboration with parents
Providing childcare support during travel and transitions between yacht and residences
Stewardess / Yacht Support
Assisting with interior duties to high yachting standards
Supporting food & beverage service and guest service when required
Housekeeping and organization of guest and family areas
Laundry, ironing and wardrobe management
Packing/unpacking and travel preparation
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation onboard
Assisting with provisioning and general onboard organization
Candidate Profile
Fluent English (spoken and written) – mandatory
Fluent Spanish (preferred)
EU passport or right to work in Europe
Valid B1/B2 visa for travel to the United States
Previous experience as a nanny, au pair or in private households
Previous yachting experience or strong hospitality background preferred
Comfortable living and working onboard a yacht
Available and willing to travel internationally
Flexible, calm, discreet and emotionally mature
Strong attention to detail and service mindset
Well-presented, polite and respectful
Yacht Industry Requirements
Valid STCW certification (Basic Safety Training)
Valid ENG1 (or equivalent seafarer medical)
Previous experience onboard yachts or in similar maritime environments is a strong
advantage
Understanding of yacht etiquette, service standards and hierarchy
Ability to work in a team and adapt to a structured onboard environment
Preferred Background
Experience as a yacht stewardess or similar onboard role
Experience in private households or luxury hospitality
Exposure to international or multicultural environments
Basic knowledge of newborn care and child development
Ability to seamlessly balance childcare and service responsibilities
