A warm and informal Family based in Coral Gables, Miami, is seeking a reliable, proactive and detail-oriented Housekeeper / Cook to join their household on a permanent basis, in a Live-in capacity (exceptional live-out candidates will also be considered)
Working 5 days per week (to include weekends, with days off during the week), this is a hands-on role focused on maintaining high housekeeping standards and assisting with cleaning and laundry duties, whilst also preparing simple, healthy and delicious family-style meals for the household
The Family enjoy fresh Mediterranean-style cooking including salads, stews and grilled meats and vegetable dishes. The successful candidate should therefore be a confident home cook, able to follow recipes, assist the Principal with menu planning and manage ingredient shopping/lists as required
In addition to housekeeping and cooking duties, the role requires somebody comfortable working around children. Whilst this is not a nanny position, the successful candidate should be happy assisting with occasional bathing and bedtime routines when needed
The household is fully staffed, so the Family are looking for somebody who is positive, collaborative and who genuinely takes pride in their work. This is a lovely long-term opportunity within a welcoming private household in Miami
Key Responsibilities:
• Daily housekeeping to a high standard, including cleaning, tidying and household organisation
• Preparing simple, healthy family-style meals for the household
• Laundry and ironing, including care of garments, linens and delicate items
• Maintaining a clean, organised and well-run kitchen
• Assisting with occasional light childcare and bedtime support
• Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the household alongside existing staff
