Job Description: A high-profile international family is looking for a Senior Household Operations Lead to build and oversee the systems behind their New York-based home.
This is a full-time, long-term role offering real ownership, suited to a senior-level operator who can bring structure, accountability, and efficiency across all areas of household operations. The position requires someone who can create and manage systems, rather than personally handling day-to-day tasks.
The Role
You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the operational framework of the household, ensuring seamless coordination across staff, vendors, and family logistics.
Key Responsibilities
Build and manage the household’s operating calendar (annual to daily cadence)
Define clear ownership and standards across staff and external providers
Create and maintain a comprehensive household manual and procedures
Lead and manage a small, high-performing household team
Oversee vendor relationships, contracts, and service standards
Implement and manage household systems (e.g. Nines or similar platforms)
Ensure smooth coordination across childcare, chef, housekeeping, and maintenance services
Requirements: Proven experience in a similar role (Chief of Staff, Estate Manager, Operations Lead, or senior hospitality professional)
Strong track record of building systems, SOPs, and structured environments
Experience managing teams and external vendors
Highly organised, discreet, and proactive
Tech-savvy and comfortable with household management tools
Based in New York or able to work on-site
