Part-Time, Live-Out Nanny
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 11:30 am–5:30 pm (with flexibility to assist the family as needed)
Accommodations: Live-Out
Location: Clayton, NC (Suburb of Raleigh, NC)
Travel: Required during school track-out (domestic & international)
Busy Christian family seeks an experienced, warm, and proactive part-time nanny to care for our soon-to-be four-year-old grandchild. The ideal candidate is joyful, patient, and confident — someone who can balance nurturing care with structure, learning, and fun. Key Expectations
- Work discreetly and closely with the family, household staff, and other caregivers
- Prepare for and accompany the child on domestic and international travel during school breaks
- Ensure safety, supervision, and age-appropriate boundaries at all times
- Communicate clearly and professionally, with strong interpersonal and social etiquette skills
- Adapt to the family’s routines, values, and expectations
- Bring a warm, caring, and nurturing presence to the child’s day
- Take initiative, anticipate needs, and stay one step ahead in planning and support
- Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude
Primary Responsibilities
School & Learning Support
- Pick up from preschool and manage afternoon routines
- Assist with early learning, pre-literacy, and age-appropriate educational activities
- Support homework, projects, and communication with teachers as needed
Activities & Engagement
- Plan and lead engaging, developmentally supportive play
- Encourage manners, social skills, and positive behavior
- Coordinate outings, playdates, lessons, and enrichment activities
- During track-out, create a structured but fun daily routine with educational experiences
Transportation
- Safely drive the child to activities, appointments, and outings
- Use personal vehicle (family provides car seat)
Child-Related Household Support
- Prepare healthy snacks and simple meals
- Tidy play areas and maintain organization of toys, books, and craft supplies
- Assist with party/event coordination and holiday planning
- Manage the child’s calendar, activities, and schedule
Requirements
- Excellent references from prior employers
- Ability to keep up with a fast-paced schedule and active child
- Strong swimmer; comfortable participating in physical activities
- Valid Driver’s License; clean driving record; able to pass background check
- CPR & First Aid certified (or willing to renew)
- Warm, joyful, patient, and confident with high-energy children
- Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances
- Non-smoker
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)
- Bilingual or multilingual candidates strongly encouraged to apply
(Spanish, French, or another second language is a plus)
- Experience supporting children who are catching up developmentally or adjusting to new routines
- Familiarity with early childhood education, enrichment planning, or structured behavior support
