A private surgeon’s household in Smithtown is looking for a reliable, organized, and personable Butler / Household Manager with exceptional cooking skills to help keep the home running smoothly.

Cooking and meal preparation are a central part of this role. The ideal candidate should enjoy cooking and take pride in preparing healthy, fresh, family-style meals while maintaining an organized and well-managed kitchen. This is also a hands-on position for someone who enjoys driving and helping a busy family with day-to-day needs.

Responsibilities may include:

• Helping manage the daily needs of the household
• Cooking, preparing, and planning daily meals for the family, including healthy breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and occasional meals for guests.
• Taking ownership of the household's cooking needs by keeping the kitchen organized and fully stocked.
• Grocery shopping, errands, deliveries, returns, and household shopping
• Professional cleaning, laundry, ironing, wardrobe organization, and keeping the home neat
• Driving the owners, children, and guests as needed
• Assisting with school drop-offs, pickups, appointments, and activities
• Keeping household vehicles clean, fueled, and ready to use
• Coordinating with cleaners, contractors, landscapers, and other vendors
• Helping prepare for guests, family gatherings, dinners, and events
• Assisting with packing, travel preparation, and general organization
• Keeping household supplies stocked and organized
• Being dependable, discreet, and willing to help where needed

Ideal Candidate:

• Strong cooking skills and genuine enjoyment of preparing meals for a family are essential.
• Has experience working in a private home, hospitality role, estate, or similar position
• Has a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Is organized, proactive, trustworthy, and easy to work with
• Is comfortable around children and a busy family schedule
• Can work flexible hours when needed
• Is looking for a stable, long-term position
