Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Laundress/Housekeeper who takes pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and beautifully kept home. The ideal candidate brings expertise in fine fabric care and laundry, a quiet and efficient working style, and the flexibility to adapt to the needs of a dynamic household. This role requires someone who works equally well independently and as part of a team.

Core Responsibilities
Laundry & Fine Fabric Care
- Washing, drying, and steaming clothing with careful attention to fabric type and care instructions
- Ironing and pressing garments to a professional, polished finish
- Providing extra care for delicate and high-value items including silks, cashmere, linens, and specialty fabrics
- Monitoring garments for stains, damage, or missing buttons; coordinating appropriate repair or professional care
- Managing dry cleaning pickups and returns as needed
Wardrobe & Closet Management
- Maintaining an organized wardrobe system for both seasonal and everyday clothing ? Using proper hanging, folding, and storage methods to preserve fabric integrity ? Rotating items to ensure even wear and protection from damage
- Implementing storage solutions such as breathable garment bags and cedar inserts for luxury and specialty pieces
General Cleaning
- Sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors throughout the home
- Dusting furniture, fixtures, and surfaces
- Cleaning mirrors, interior windows, and glass surfaces
- Emptying trash bins, replacing liners, taking trash to the curb, and bringing bins back inside
- Caring for and maintaining all household plants
Kitchen Duties
- Cleaning countertops, sinks, appliances, and stovetop
- Wiping down cabinet surfaces
- Loading and unloading the dishwasher
- Periodically cleaning the refrigerator interior and exterior
- Maintaining pantry organization
Grocery Handling & Responsibilities
- Monitoring household grocery inventory and updating the shopping list as needed ? Receiving and unpacking deliveries
- Organizing and storing groceries properly in the kitchen, pantry, refrigerator, and freezer as needed
- Maintaining cleanliness and order in all food storage areas
Bathroom Cleaning
- Sanitizing toilets, showers, bathtubs, and sinks
- Cleaning mirrors, fixtures, and tile surfaces
Organizing & Tidying
- Keeping common areas, closets, and storage spaces organized
- Picking up and putting away household items
- Straightening living areas and bedrooms throughout the day
Special Cleaning Tasks (as needed)
- Deep cleaning including oven, baseboards, interior windows, and other periodic tasks ? Seasonal cleaning projects
- Spot cleaning walls and upholstery
- Opening packages and assisting with maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies Other Duties (as requested)
- Running occasional household errands
- Accepting deliveries or greeting maintenance personnel
- Notifying the house manager of any household needs or maintenance issues
