Part-Time Housekeeper — Private Residence

Position Overview A private New York City household seeks a discreet, experienced, and self-directed part-time housekeeper to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation in a luxury apartment. The role supports a principal residence and suits someone who understands the expectations of a formal private household — meticulous attention to detail, complete discretion, and genuine pride in their work.
Schedule 3 days/week, ~7–8 hours/day. Some flexibility required around principal travel; advance notice always given.
Key Responsibilities Daily & Routine Care: full cleaning of all rooms (bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living/dining); laundry, ironing, and care of clothing and linens; bed-making to hotel standard; kitchen cleanliness including appliances, surfaces, pantry; bins, recycling, waste. Organization & Presentation: maintaining organization throughout; restocking supplies and flagging needs; preparing the apartment ahead of principal arrivals to full presentation standard; managing inventory of products, consumables, linens. Additional: receiving deliveries with care; light errands (dry cleaning, supplies); liaison with building management/maintenance.
What We're Looking For Min. 3 years' private household or luxury residential housekeeping experience; exceptional attention to detail; complete discretion (non-negotiable); reliable, punctual, self-motivated, works independently; comfortable with a dynamic schedule; experience with fine furnishings, artwork, and luxury materials; strong proactive communication; valid US right to work.
Compensation & Benefits $35–$45/hour DOE; ≈ $735–$1,080/week; health insurance contribution (confirmed on offer); 10 days PTO/year pro-rated + paid public holidays; sick leave per NYC rules (min 56 hrs/yr); monthly MetroCard; 6-month performance & comp review. W-2 private household employment.
