Private Chauffeur – Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van UHNW Family | Pasadena, California

Position Overview

A wonderful family based in Pasadena is seeking a highly professional, discreet, and reliable Private Chauffeur to primarily operate a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van. This is a full-time, live-out position supporting the family’s private transportation needs with the highest standards of safety, punctuality, and confidentiality.

This is not a standard 9:00–5:00 job. The role demands exceptional schedule flexibility. Candidates must be prepared for early mornings, late evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended or irregular days whenever the family’s needs require it. Availability and adaptability are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely and professionally operate a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van for family members, guests, and authorized individuals.
• Provide door-to-door transportation for local trips, local venues (SoFi, Dodger Stadium, etc…), school runs, medical appointments, events, and occasional longer regional travel.
• Maintain the vehicle in immaculate condition (interior and exterior), including scheduling routine maintenance, detailing, and ensuring all systems are fully operational.
• Plan efficient routes, monitor traffic and weather conditions, and adapt schedules as needed.
• Assist with luggage, packages, and light personal support as required while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
• Coordinate closely with household staff, security, and family office as directed.
• Uphold absolute discretion and confidentiality regarding all family matters, schedules, residences, and conversations.
• Maintain accurate vehicle logs, mileage, and expense records.
• Remain highly flexible for early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and long days or occasional overnight/multi-day trips as required.

Requirements

• Valid California Class C drivers, or class B equivalent, license with a clean driving record (no major violations, DUIs, or recent at-fault accidents).
• Minimum 3–5 years of professional chauffeur or high-end private client experience; prior experience with Sprinter or similar luxury vans strongly preferred. (or other type of large vehicle)
• Must currently reside within 30 miles of Pasadena, CA (or be willing to relocate within this radius prior to start date).
• Excellent knowledge of Los Angeles-area roads, freeways, and traffic patterns.
• Intimate knowledge of local venues in the Pasadena and greater Los Angeles area, including private clubs, fine dining restaurants, cultural institutions, schools, medical facilities, event spaces, and other frequently visited destinations.
• Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm, focused, and courteous under pressure.
• High level of integrity, reliability, and discretion.
• Willingness to undergo thorough background check, reference verification, and drug screening.
• Proven ability to work a flexible, non-traditional schedule that frequently includes long days, irregular hours, and availability outside standard business hours.
• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge and attention to detail.
