Housekeeper - NYC
Full-Time Position
Compensation: $55 - $65 per hour plus full benefits after 90 days

Schedule flexibility is essential, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to accommodate the principal's schedule, travel, entertaining, and household needs. We are seeking an experienced Housekeeper to join the staff of a sophisticated private residence in Manhattan's West Village.

Working under the direction of the House Manager and Executive Housekeeper, the successful candidate will help maintain the residence to the highest standards while contributing to a collaborative, respectful, and service-oriented environment.

MUST HAVE WORKED IN TEAM ENVIRONMENTS IN UHNW HOUSEHOLDS
Primary Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform detailed daily housekeeping throughout the residence
- Clean and maintain all living areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, closets, and staff areas
- Dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, polish, and care for fine furnishings, antiques, artwork, marble, wood, and specialty surfaces
- Make and turn down beds, change linens, and maintain guest bedrooms to the highest standards
- Perform laundry, ironing, steaming, folding, and wardrobe care
- Assist with the organization and seasonal rotation of closets, wardrobes, and storage areas
- Pack and unpack luggage and assist with wardrobe preparation for travel
- Maintain household inventories and notify the Executive Housekeeper when supplies require replenishment
- Receive deliveries and assist with household organization
- Assist with table setting, meal service, and kitchen cleanup as requested
- Prepare guest accommodations before arrivals and restore guest areas following departures
- Assist with floral arrangements and light household styling when requested
- Ensure the residence remains immaculate, organized, and guest-ready at all times
- Follow household procedures and support the Executive Housekeeper with special projects as needed
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Previous experience in a luxury private residence, estate, boutique hotel, or similar hospitality environment
- Excellent housekeeping and laundry skills
- Experience caring for couture clothing, luxury wardrobes, fine linens, delicate fabrics, and designer furnishings
- Knowledge of proper care for antiques, artwork, marble, wood, and specialty finishes
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Professional appearance and polished demeanor
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the House Manager, Executive Housekeeper, Private Chef, and other household staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Absolute discretion and commitment to confidentiality
- Flexibility to accommodate changing household priorities and schedules
