A private family in Downtown Manhattan is seeking a full-time Housekeeper/Laundress to take expert care of the household's wardrobe and linens while supporting general housekeeping. The role centers on specialized garment care: laundering, hand-washing, and pressing fine and couture pieces, removing stains, making minor repairs, and keeping clothing and linens labeled, inventoried, and impeccably organized. Alongside this, the Housekeeper/Laundress will work with a second housekeeper on daily upkeep across bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas. The ideal candidate brings prior private household experience, deep knowledge of luxury fabrics and specialized laundering techniques, exacting attention to detail, and complete discretion. This is a Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm position paying $60 per hour, with health insurance for the employee and their children covered by the employer.
