Position Overview

A private family with a beautifully appointed Jupiter, Florida residence is seeking a year-round Housekeeper & Laundress to maintain the home to the highest standards. Although the property is used primarily for seasonal visits, the family expects consistent excellence, proactive care, and a professional who treats the home as if it were fully occupied year-round.

The ideal candidate understands the balance between Florida-casual living and formal home expectations, with deep knowledge of caring for fine furnishings, artwork, delicate materials, and luxury wardrobes.

Key Responsibilities

• Whole-home cleaning — Daily and weekly cleaning routines, deep cleaning during off-season, and maintaining a pristine environment at all times.
• Laundress duties — Expert care of luxury garments, linens, and fabrics; stain treatment; handwashing; steaming; pressing; wardrobe organization.
• Fine furnishings care — Proper cleaning methods for high-end surfaces, antiques, specialty woods, marble, and designer pieces.
• Art care awareness — Dusting and maintaining artwork safely; knowing when to escalate to conservators.
• Seasonal readiness — Preparing the home before family arrivals; maintaining it during their stay; closing and securing the residence after departures.
• Inventory management — Tracking supplies, linens, cleaning products, and submitting replenishment requests.
• Vendor coordination — Meeting service providers, ensuring work areas are protected, and reporting issues promptly.
• Pet-friendly support — Light pet care as needed.
• Security & discretion — Maintaining confidentiality, securing the home, and following all household protocols.

• Deep understanding of formal service standards within a relaxed Florida environment.
• Ability to anticipate needs and maintain the home as if the family were present daily.
• Extreme attention to detail, especially with delicate materials and high-value items.

• Comfort working independently for long stretches, with strong self-motivation.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to provide updates to the estate manager or principal.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of experience in private homes, luxury estates, or boutique hospitality.
• Mastery of laundering, wardrobe care, and fabric handling.
• Experience with fine furnishings, artwork, and specialty surfaces.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain systems year-round.
• Tech-comfortable for communication, scheduling, and inventory.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and pass a full background check.
• High integrity, reliability, and long-term commitment.

Schedule & Compensation

• Full-time, year-round position
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, with flexibility during family visits that may include, nights, weekends, holidays
