Houseman / Handyman – UHNW Private Estate

Location: Southampton, NY
Compensation: $50/hour

A highly private UHNW family is seeking an experienced Houseman / Handyman to join their Southampton residence on a permanent, year-round basis.

This is an immediate requirement, and we are looking for an exceptionally capable, hands-on individual who can confidently take ownership of the practical day-to-day needs of a luxury private property.

The successful candidate will be a genuine "do-all" person, practical, resourceful and proactive, with the ability to identify what needs attention and simply get it done.

Responsibilities

• General household and property maintenance
• Minor repairs and handyman duties
• Proactively identifying maintenance issues around the property
• Troubleshooting and resolving day-to-day household problems
• Coordinating and overseeing specialist vendors and contractors
• Receiving deliveries and assisting with installation/setup
• Moving furniture and household items as required
• Setting up and breaking down outdoor furniture and seasonal equipment
• Maintaining garages, storage and back-of-house areas
• Assisting with household projects
• Running errands and sourcing household items
• Supporting preparation of the residence ahead of principal and guest arrivals
• Working collaboratively with other household and property staff
• Providing general hands-on support wherever needed

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

• Experienced within a UHNW private estate or high-end residential environment
• Highly capable with excellent general handyman and maintenance skills
• Mechanically minded and confident troubleshooting household issues
• Familiar with working alongside and overseeing vendors and contractors
• Proactive and able to work independently without constant direction
• Exceptionally reliable and trustworthy
• Polished, discreet and professional around principals and guests
• Organized with excellent attention to detail
• Flexible and willing to turn their hand to whatever needs doing
• A genuine team player with a positive, can-do attitude
• In possession of a valid driver's license
• Able to provide excellent, verifiable references

This is not a traditional trades position. The family is looking for a professional private-estate Houseman who understands the discretion, presentation and service standards required within a UHNW household while also being genuinely practical and hands-on.

$50/hour | Full-Time | Year-Round | Live-Out | Southampton, NY
