Travel: Travel between Seasonal Residences 4+ months per year

Position Overview
An intentional, bi-coastal family seeks an experienced Estate Manager to serve as the operational lead of their household ecosystem. This is a senior leadership position for a hands-on operator who maintains the systems, standards, and continuity that allow the household to function seamlessly as the estate grows. The Estate Manager is the primary steward of the family's intentional rhythms and household philosophy. You will lead a mobile domestic team and manage staff, household, and travel logistics, ensuring the family moves between properties without friction. You are the gatekeeper protecting the Principal's time through proactive problem-solving, efficient systems management, and self-directed initiative.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Staff Leadership & Human Capital
- Manage the full lifecycle of hiring, onboarding, and training for all domestic staff, including the Chef, Governess, and Housekeeper
- Conduct weekly briefings and provide coaching to ensure a high-performance culture
- Maintain and enforce formal household protocols and "white-glove" service standards across all residences
Operational Systems & Policy Management
- Keep the Household Manual up to date, codifying all SOPs and institutional knowledge for scalability
- Constantly evaluate and refine household procedures to eliminate "noise" and optimize daily operations
- Perform daily walkthroughs to verify precision and adherence to both fiscal and aesthetic standards
- Oversee household procurement, inventory systems, and recurring supply management
Property Management
- Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules, service appointments, and operational follow-through in collaboration with the Property Manager
- Procure and manage household vendors related to household operations
- Collaborate with the Property Manager to maintain properties, ensure vehicle readiness, travel readiness, and estate preparedness
High-Level Logistics & Lifestyle Management
- Manage staff travel and housing logistics
- Manage the family's complex calendar, travel logistics, and property transitions with precision
- Lead the planning and execution of holiday preparations, special events, and seasonal transitions
- Oversee household moves, packing & unpacking
- Oversee home organization projects
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in high-pressure, high-velocity HNW environments
- Highly proficient in Nines, Google Workspace, and project management tools
- 7+ years of experience leading domestic or professional teams with a focus on accountability and excellence
- High EQ, absolute discretion, and loyalty
- Comfortable with travel and managing operations across multiple time zones
