Position Overview
A private household based in Burleson, Texas, is seeking an experienced and dependable Traveling Private Chef to prepare fresh, high-quality meals tailored to the household’s preferences and health goals.
The position will primarily be based at the Burleson residence and will require travel between private residences in Burleson and St. Paul, Minnesota, for up to six months total per year. Travel may include multiple trips or extended stays based on the household’s schedule.
The ideal candidate is skilled in clean, protein-forward cooking and understands the importance of quality ingredients and balanced nutrition. The chef must be organized, flexible, receptive to feedback, and able to provide consistent meals in different kitchens and locations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner Monday through Friday, coordinated around the household’s schedule.
- Create balanced, protein-forward meals using fresh, high-quality ingredients.
- Minimize seed oils and use preferred high-quality cooking fats.
- Maintain household staples, including homemade bone broth, prepared proteins, snacks, packed meals, and meal-prep items.
- Develop menus and adjust meals based on preferences, dietary needs, portions, schedules, and feedback.
- Prepare meals and snacks in advance as requested, including food for travel days.
- Maintain notes regarding favorite meals, dislikes, allergies, portions, ingredients, and preparation preferences.
- Receive feedback professionally and make adjustments as needed.
- Shop for groceries and source high-quality or specialty ingredients in Texas and Minnesota.
- Maintain pantry, refrigerator, and freezer inventories.
- Properly package, label, store, transport, and rotate prepared foods and ingredients.
- Keep kitchens clean, organized, and sanitary.
- Coordinate professionally with household staff and service providers.
- Prepare meals for occasional guests, dinners, and small gatherings, which may require limited evening or weekend availability.
- Maintain professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
Travel Expectations
- Travel between the Burleson and St. Paul residences for up to six months total per year.
- Travel may include multiple trips or extended stays throughout the year.
- Timing, frequency, and duration will vary based on household needs.
- Flexibility is required regarding changes to travel dates and daily schedules.

Qualifications
- Professional culinary experience; private-household, personal-chef, or traveling-chef experience is preferred.
- Experience with clean, health-conscious, or nutrition-focused cooking.
- Ability to prepare consistent, high-quality meals in different residential kitchens.
- Comfortable working independently in a private-home environment.
- Organized, dependable, flexible, punctual, and receptive to feedback.
- Strong menu-planning, communication, organizational, and food-safety skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to travel domestically without restrictions.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Willing to complete a background check and provide professional references.
