Lovely family of four (children in college) is seeking a professional, live-out part-time (possibility to transition into full-time) Laundress for their NYC residence. Responsibilities include all aspects of laundry and wardrobe care, including hand washing, ironing, steaming, and pressing clothing, linens, and fine garments and fabrics. Additional duties include mending and sewing, wardrobe organization, inspecting and organizing closets and drawers, maintaining laundry supplies and equipment, seasonal closet rotations, packing and unpacking for travel, and assisting with housekeeping tasks as needed. Candidates must be pet-friendly, as the family has two well-behaved large dogs, and should be detail-oriented, proactive, physically fit, and a strong team player, as they will work closely alongside the family's Housekeeper. A good command of English is required. The ideal candidate will be discreet, easygoing, and interested in making a long-term commitment to the family. The preferred schedule is Mon/Weds/Fri or Mon/Thurs/Fri 8:30/9am - 4:30/5pm with no weekends required. Compensation is $50 per hour, along with paid time off, paid holidays, and sick days. No health insurance.
