Part-Time Housekeeper – Private Residence | Lincoln Park

We are seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Part-Time Housekeeper for a beautiful private residence located in the heart of Lincoln Park, Chicago.

The approximately 3,500-square-foot home is occupied by one individual, and there are no pets living inside the residence. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys housekeeping, takes pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and beautifully presented home, and approaches their responsibilities with care and professionalism.

The ideal candidate is warm, pleasant, trustworthy, and naturally takes ownership of their work. We are specifically looking for someone who is proactive, notices what needs attention, and can work independently with minimal direction or supervision.

Schedule

Approximately 12 hours per week, consisting of two 6-hour days.

Preferred schedule:
Tuesdays and Fridays, 9:00 AM–3:00 PM

There is flexibility to consider other weekdays for the right candidate; however, we prefer approximately 2–3 days of separation between scheduled workdays.

No weekends are required, and major federal holidays are off.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include maintaining the overall cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the residence, including:

• General cleaning and upkeep throughout the home
• Cleaning and sanitizing kitchens and bathrooms
• Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and maintaining floors
• Changing bed linens and making beds
• Laundry, folding, and neatly putting items away
• Maintaining organized closets, cabinets, and household spaces
• Keeping household items orderly and returned to their appropriate places
• Monitoring household and cleaning supplies and communicating when items need replenishment
• Performing periodic deeper-cleaning tasks as needed
• Paying close attention to the small details that contribute to a polished and well-maintained home
• Proactively identifying areas that require attention without waiting for specific instructions
