Housekeeper

The Housekeeper is responsible for helping maintain a fully staffed large private family residence in Williamson County, TN. The Housekeeper will work as a team with the existing housekeeping staff.  They should be detailed focused, service oriented, positive, and passionate about organization and cleaning.  This position reports to the Executive Housekeeper and Manager of Estates.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain strict confidentiality and privacy regarding employer, family members, guests, and properties.
• Consistently maintain the highest levels of standards of service and overall efficiency of the residence.
• Follow Executive Housekeeper’s instructions, guidance, and cleaning schedule to thoroughly clean all areas of the residence and other occupied structures on the estate
• Practice the utmost professional discretion at all times
• Perform all recognized and regular aspects of housekeeping and private family cleaning duties
• Report to the Executive Housekeeper any areas found that need repair or maintenance attention
• Replace reachable light bulbs as needed. Report unreachable bulb change requests to Executive Housekeeper
• Assist Executive Housekeeper and team with occasional family parties, dinners, holiday events, entertainment, and guest stays
• Replenish supplies as needed when cleaning rooms such as toiletries in the bathrooms
• Break down boxes, empty trash regularly
• Maintain storage and closet organization
• Provide general help to any other team member or staff that needs assistance

 Job Requirements and Qualifications:

• 3+ years related experience as a housekeeper in private homes
• Must possess valid Driver’s License and maintain a satisfactory TN DMV record
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Must be able to bend, stretch, reach, run and lift up to 35 pounds.
• Be able to work promptly work 8-4:30pm Monday through Friday
• Work a team rotation of alternating Saturday mornings for a half day (approximately once per month)
• Must be able to perform regular housekeeping duties to include but not limited to mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, making beds/changing bed linens, clean bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms, garages, outdoor patio areas and furniture, exterior fixtures, cobwebs, clean windows, laundry, ironing, stocking supplies
• Must be pet friendly and able to work around dogs and cats
• Must be able to make a long-term commitment
• Must be able to communicate in English. Bilingual is a plus
