EXECUTIVE HOUSEKEEPER / FAMILY COOK – SOUTHERN U.S. (LIVE-IN OR LIVE-OUT)
Our lovely clients are seeking an experienced, hands-on Executive Housekeeper / Family Cook to become a valued member of their household. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes genuine pride in creating a beautifully maintained home while enjoying the rhythm of preparing fresh, family-style meals and supporting the day-to-day needs of a busy household.
Working alongside an established household team, the successful candidate will oversee the home's cleanliness, organization, laundry, and overall presentation while also preparing simple, healthy meals for the family. The ideal candidate is warm, proactive, and naturally service-oriented, with an exceptional eye for detail and the ability to anticipate what needs to be done before being asked.
The family is open to either a live-in or live-out arrangement. Private accommodations are available for candidates interested in relocating, while local candidates seeking a live-out position are also encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Housekeeping and Home Care
- Perform detailed daily housekeeping throughout the main residence and guest accommodations
- Complete rotational deep cleaning and seasonal household projects
- Maintain the home to exceptional standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation
- Make beds, refresh guest rooms, and ensure the residence remains guest-ready
- Organize closets, pantries, storage areas, and household workspaces
- Monitor household inventories and ensure essential supplies remain fully stocked
- Receive deliveries and assist with general household organization
- Report maintenance concerns or household issues promptly
Laundry and Wardrobe Care
- Complete family laundry, including washing, folding, ironing, steaming, and garment care
- Maintain wardrobes, linens, and household textiles with exceptional attention to detail
- Organize closets and seasonal clothing rotations as needed
Family Cooking
- Prepare fresh, healthy family meals and light meal prep throughout the week
- Assist with menu planning and grocery organization as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen
- Prepare meals in advance when appropriate to support the family's schedule
- Assist with casual entertaining, including table setting, meal service, and kitchen reset
Household Support
- Work collaboratively with the household team to ensure seamless daily operations
- Adapt to changing priorities with flexibility and a positive attitude
- Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of experience working in a private household as an Executive Housekeeper, Housekeeper, Family Cook, or similar hybrid role
- Exceptional housekeeping and laundry skills with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable preparing fresh, healthy family-style meals
- Highly organized, dependable, and proactive
- Professional, discreet, and service-oriented
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with other household staff
- Comfortable working in a pet-friendly household
- Valid authorization to work in the United States
Location: Southern United Sates. The family is open to both live-in and live-out candidates. Private accommodations are available for candidates relocating to the area.
Schedule
- Full-time
- Five days per week
- Flexibility to support occasional evenings, weekends, or family events as needed
Salary and Benefits: $85-100K (DOE).
