This lady, in her eighties, is no longer able to play tennis with the girls. She is really not able to play Bridge with the ladies lately. She is slipping a bit. But she is still amazing and in charge. We are currently looking for a Companion who could work for her in her Condo in Stuart, FL, Monday-Friday, maybe occasionally Saturdays, from maybe 11-3 or 12 -4, and be her friend. The position includes keeping track of her Meds, hair appointments (usually after noon because she doesn't really get going in the morning until 10:30 11:00 am), nail and pedicure appointments. She likes to go shopping at Publix, Costco, Marshall's, Trader Joe's, and all the hot spots.
She still likes to go out for lunch and eats like a bird, but she needs someone who can be funny and keep things on the rails, without being too pushy. The current lady there has become friends with her, but she is moving away soon, and Mrs. is sad about that. There are Doctor appointments, and light housekeeping duties, throwing in a load of laundry, and maybe some meal prep for Mrs. later in the day. Some days may include searching for her hearing aids or her keys, but we make light of it, and tomorrow is another day.
Must have companion experience, must pass a background check, and be able to communicate with Mrs. and her daughters about her daily activities, or any situations that may come up.
