Housekeeper Position— Private Residence (Full-Time)
Location: Las Vegas, Nevada (Summerlin)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, including an unpaid 30-minute lunch break.
Compensation: $27–$32/hour depending on experience, plus paid overtime.
Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance and a 401(k) with employer match, effective upon completion of a 90-day probationary period.
Overview
A private 5,000 sq ft residence in Summerlin is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Housekeeper. The home is occupied by two principals who keep a fast-paced schedule with frequent travel, along with one small, well-trained dog.
This is the sole housekeeping position in the household. It covers the interior and exterior presentation of the home, laundry and wardrobe care, and day-to-day household organization maintained to 5-star hotel standards.
Key Responsibilities
Housekeeping
- Daily upkeep of all rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, common areas, and entry spaces.
- Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, surface polishing, window cleaning, and maintaining high-touch surfaces.
- Light exterior responsibilities, including patio tidiness, outdoor furniture upkeep, and package retrieval.
Laundry, Wardrobe & Linen Care
- Expert care of luxury and delicate garments, including washing, steaming, stain treatment, and fabric-appropriate handling.
- Wardrobe management for both principals, including seasonal rotation, closet organization, and packing and unpacking for travel.
- Ironing and pressing bed linens to hotel standards.
- Laundry room organization, stocking, and equipment cleanliness.
Organization & Inventory
- Rotate, organize, and maintain closets, pantries, cabinets, and household storage areas.
- Check for and remove expired food, beverages, toiletries, and household products.
- Track household stock and communicate replenishment needs for cleaning supplies, personal items, and over-the-counter medications.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in luxury private homes, high-end hospitality, or boutique hotels.
- Strong knowledge of delicate fabric care, garment handling, steaming, pressing, and linen care.
- Able to receive and follow detailed verbal and written instructions in English.
- Highly discreet, professional, and reliable, with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Physical Requirements
- Standing and walking for most of the shift, with frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 30–40 lbs when necessary.
- Comfortable climbing stairs and light use of a step ladder.
Working Conditions
- This is a live-out position.
- Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Occasional adjusted hours, late-day support, or occasional weekend assistance around travel arrivals and unpacking. All additional hours are paid as overtime.
- The household is maintained as a quiet, hotel-like environment, and discretion is essential.
