Busy family is seeking a highly professional live-out Laundress/Housekeeper to work alongside their Housekeeper to maintain their large Bedford, NY home. Duties include all laundress-related tasks, such as washing, ironing, pressing, steaming, and caring for children/baby clothes (stain removal), sheets, tablecloths, delicate fabrics and fine linens. Will also be responsible for organizing closets and assisting with seasonal closet rotation and storage. It is a plus if knowledgeable on mending and sewing, but not required. Must be comfortable taking direction from the Housekeeper as candidate will be assisting with full-charge housekeeping when not doing laundry. Travel is a plus, but not required. Ideal candidate is discreet, mature, flexible, hardworking, has excellent communication skills and willing to help out wherever needed. Must be dog friendly as the family has 4 dogs (3 beagles, 1 basset mix) and will need to assist with pet care if needed. Must have a valid driver's license as the candidate will need to run errands as needed. A car is provided for work purposes. Monday-Friday, 7am-4:30pm. $40/hr+DOE (net pay), 2 weeks of PTO, major holidays paid and no health insurance.
