HOUSEMAN / DRIVER – TAMPA BAY, FL **Seeking Local Candidates**
Our client is seeking a dependable, proactive, and service-oriented Houseman / Driver to support the daily operations of a beautifully maintained private estate in the Tampa Bay area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys staying busy, takes pride in maintaining a luxury property, and understands the importance of anticipating the household's needs before being asked.
Working closely with the Estate Manager and household team, this individual will provide hands-on support across a wide range of responsibilities, including property upkeep, vehicle care, driving, vendor coordination, and general household assistance. No two days will be exactly alike, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and approaches every task with professionalism and a positive attitude.
The ideal candidate is resourceful, mechanically inclined, physically active, and genuinely enjoys helping wherever needed. They understand that the little details matter and take pride in ensuring the home, grounds, and vehicles are always maintained to exceptional standards
Responsibilities
Property and Household Support
- Assist with the day-to-day maintenance and presentation of the residence and surrounding grounds
- Perform routine property inspections and proactively identify maintenance or repair needs
- Complete light handyman tasks and coordinate larger repairs with outside vendors when appropriate
- Support the household team with general setup, organization, and projects throughout the property
- Assist with moving furniture, deliveries, seasonal preparations, and other physically demanding household tasks
- Help ensure the residence is always prepared for the family's arrival and guests
Transportation and Vehicle Care
- Provide safe, professional transportation for the principals, family members, and guests as requested
- Coordinate airport transfers, appointments, errands, and other transportation needs
- Maintain the family's vehicle fleet, including detailing, fueling, servicing, inspections, and routine maintenance
- Monitor vehicle condition and coordinate repairs or scheduled service appointments when needed
Grounds and Exterior Maintenance
- Assist with maintaining the exterior appearance of the property, including patios, walkways, outdoor living spaces, and recreational areas
- Support seasonal property readiness and ensure outdoor furnishings and equipment remain clean, organized, and well maintained
- Coordinate with landscaping, pool, and specialty vendors to ensure all exterior areas are properly maintained
- Assist with property readiness during severe weather or other seasonal events
Household Operations
- Receive deliveries and coordinate vendor access to the property
- Run household errands and assist with shopping or supply pickups as requested
- Work collaboratively with the Estate Manager and household staff to ensure efficient daily operations
- Assist with special events, entertaining, and guest arrivals as needed
- Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Houseman, Property Assistant, Estate Maintenance Technician, Butler, Driver, or similar role within a luxury private residence
- Strong general maintenance knowledge with the ability to complete basic handyman tasks
- Experience driving luxury vehicles with an excellent driving record
- Physically capable of lifting, moving, and completing active daily responsibilities
- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Positive attitude with a genuine willingness to assist wherever needed
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a household team
- Professional, discreet, and service-oriented demeanor
- Valid driver's license and authorization to work in the United States
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience supporting an UHNW principal or fully staffed estate
- Experience coordinating vendors, maintenance schedules, and household projects
- Knowledge of luxury vehicle care and preventative property maintenance
- Familiarity with residential security systems or smart-home technology is a plus
Location: Tampa Bay, Florida. This is a full-time, in-person position.
Schedule: Full-time with flexibility to support evenings, weekends, special events, and occasional travel as the family's schedule requires.
Compensation and Benefits: $65-$85K + a comprehensive benefits package.
