Pay Rate: $36.05 per hour / $75,000 Annually
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM (40 Hours), with on-call availability as needed

We are seeking on behalf of our client, a highly skilled, full-time Property Caretaker to oversee the care and maintenance of a 15,000-square-foot lakefront residence and surrounding grounds in Wayzata, MN. This position requires a professional who can ensure the property is maintained to the highest standard, both inside the residence and across the grounds, while taking a proactive, hands-on approach to daily operations.
Responsibilities include interior and exterior maintenance, minor repairs, and comprehensive grounds care, including landscaping, lawn care, snow removal, sprinkler system management, pool and pool deck upkeep, shoreline and waterfront maintenance, and the care of outdoor furnishings, watersports, and recreational equipment. The caretaker will also be responsible for coordinating and overseeing outside vendors and service providers, ensuring work is completed to the estate's standards, and maintaining regular communication with the principals regarding property conditions, projects, and maintenance matters, particularly when they are away from the residence. The caretaker will collaborate with the estate’s existing household staff. Vehicle required.
Local candidates are preferred within a 30-minute commute of the estate to allow for on-call or emergency availability.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing and maintaining similar multi-acre private estates or high-value residences
- Extensive landscaping and grounds maintenance experience
- Practical knowledge of estate operations, including HVAC, mechanical systems, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive in anticipating maintenance needs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with basic computer proficiency
- Valid driver’s license
- Verifiable references from previous caretaker roles
- Commitment to confidentiality and discretion
