Three Private Educators to Travel the World

Compensation: Starting at $250,000+ annually
Start Date: September 2026
Commitment: One-year commitment, with the opportunity to extend for an additional year by mutual agreement
Schedule: Monday-Friday | Approximately 8:00 AM-8:00 PM
Location: Worldwide aboard a private yacht, private aircraft, and luxury residences

An Ultra-High-Net-Worth family is seeking three exceptional Private Educators to accompany them on an extraordinary journey around the world. This is far more than a teaching position, it is an opportunity to become part of an unforgettable educational adventure, transforming the world itself into your classroom while traveling to some of the globe’s most extraordinary destinations.

Each educator will be dedicated exclusively to one child (ages 6, 10, or 15), creating a personalized educational experience that combines rigorous academics with immersive, real-world learning.

From sailing the Mediterranean aboard a private yacht to exploring ancient civilizations, world-renowned museums, marine conservation projects, historic landmarks, and cultural experiences across multiple continents, every destination becomes an opportunity to inspire curiosity and lifelong learning.

The Opportunity

Weekdays begin with structured academics tailored to your student’s individual learning style and educational goals. Afternoons transition into experiential learning, bringing lessons to life through exploration, history, science, language, art, culture, and adventure.

Whether you’re studying marine ecosystems while cruising the coastline, touring world-famous museums, walking through archaeological sites, attending cultural festivals, or exploring some of the most breathtaking destinations on Earth, education extends far beyond the traditional classroom.

The family travels extensively by private yacht and private aircraft, and educators should be comfortable remaining fully engaged during travel days, ensuring continuity of learning while making every experience educational.

Student Assignments

Student One — Age 6

Seeking an engaging elementary educator who can foster curiosity through creative, hands-on learning while building a strong academic foundation.

Student Two — Age 10

An inquisitive learner with a true passion for chess. The ideal educator will not only provide an exceptional academic experience but will also be an accomplished chess player who enjoys teaching strategy, critical thinking, and regularly playing with the student.

Student Three — Age 15

A bright, energetic student with ADHD who thrives with structure, creativity, and engaging instruction. The ideal educator must possess exceptional mathematics expertise and experience teaching advanced high school mathematics.

Outside of academics, this student has a deep passion for equestrian sports. Expect horseback riding to be a regular part of your time together, and applicants should genuinely enjoy spending time around horses and feel comfortable participating in equestrian activities.

Household Environment

This is a fully staffed private household, allowing the educators to focus exclusively on the children’s education and enrichment.

The family employs a private chef, housekeepers, a dedicated nanny, and additional household staff.

  • No housekeeping, laundry, cooking, meal preparation, errands, or household management responsibilities.
  • Every meal is professionally prepared by the family’s private chefs.
  • Your role is solely to educate, mentor, and inspire your assigned student.

This is a true Private Educator position, not a nanny or household management role.

Schedule & Travel

The regular schedule is Monday through Friday from approximately 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

The parents and the family’s dedicated nanny assume responsibility for the children on weekends, allowing educators to enjoy completely free weekends to relax, explore each destination independently, or simply recharge.

Applicants should also be comfortable traveling alone, whether by private aircraft or commercial airline, should the family’s itinerary require the child to travel separately to another destination.

Flexibility, professionalism, and a love of travel are essential.

Qualifications

The family is seeking educators who combine exceptional academic credentials with warmth, adaptability, discretion, and a genuine passion for travel and experiential learning.

Applicants should possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a closely related field
  • Minimum of five years of teaching experience
  • Minimum of five years of private family experience
  • Experience developing individualized curriculum
  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills
  • Passion for experiential education and global travel
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing travel schedules
  • Valid passport with the ability to travel internationally for an extended period
  • Professionalism, discretion, and the ability to thrive within a fully staffed private household

Compensation & Benefits

This position offers an executive-level compensation package, including:

  • Starting salary of $250,000+ annually
  • 100% employer-paid health insurance
  • End of year bonus
  • Three weeks of paid time off
    • During your vacation, the family will pay for you to travel anywhere in the world you choose, with all travel expenses covered by them
  • Luxury accommodations throughout the year
  • All meals prepared by the family’s private chef
  • Worldwide travel aboard private yachts and private aircraft
  • The opportunity to experience some of the world’s most exclusive destinations while building an extraordinary career

The family is seeking candidates who can commit to one full year beginning in September 2026. For the right fit, they are open to extending the position for an additional year.

The Ideal Candidate

This opportunity is designed for educators who believe the greatest classroom has no walls.

You are intellectually curious, adventurous, highly organized, and passionate about helping children learn through experience. You are equally comfortable teaching mathematics in the morning, exploring ancient ruins in the afternoon, discussing history over dinner, or encouraging a student’s passions—whether that’s mastering chess or spending the afternoon at a world-class equestrian facility.

For the right educator, this is far more than a career opportunity. It is the chance to combine world travel, meaningful mentorship, exceptional compensation, and the privilege of helping shape a child’s education through experiences that few people will ever have the opportunity to witness.

If you have ever dreamed of teaching beyond the classroom while traveling the world with an extraordinary family, this is truly the opportunity of a lifetime.
