Full-time, Live-out Nanny, Upper West Side, 1 Child

Loving Live Out Infant Nanny needed for Warm UWS working Family

The Schedule:

• 45-50 hours per week can be guaranteed.
• Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-6:30pm and Friday is flexible for those preferring a shorter day as both parents work from home. 
• A full day is preferred. Coverage for a weekly date night would be a great plus.
• Late May or early June – mom returns to work on June 8th

The Child(ren):

• By the time Nanny begins, baby boy will be 4 months old going on 5 months! 
• The next big thing will be transitions to solids and whipping up healthy fresh meals!
• He is a happy, healthy, smiley little guy with an easygoing temperament. 
• He sleeps well overnight, waking for quick feeds and settling back down with ease.
• For his daytime naps he prefers to snooze and snuggle on you, but crib training is underway and it won’t be long.
• He is breastfed with two pumped bottles incorporated throughout the day to ready him for moms return to work.
• He is beginning to enjoy tummy time and thrives with responsive, attentive care and a nurturing presence.
• He is just a delight and will be so much fun to spend your days with!

The Family:

• This is a warm, inviting, and friendly family living on the Upper West Side in a full service elevator building with a doorman.
• Both parents work full time outside of the home Mon to Thurs, and from home on Fridays.
• They value a collaborative, respectful relationship with their nanny.
• They are thoughtful, engaged parents who appreciate open communication, shared problem solving, and a happy home environment.
• They value enrichment, reading, and those who will talk to and expose their son to the world around him.
• They are looking for a Nanny who is present, warm, and proactive who enjoys supporting an infant to grow and thrive.
• The home is respectful, well organized, and supported by a bi weekly cleaning service.
• They also have a friendly & enthusiastic 40lb dog so comfort with pups and safe supervision with the new baby is essential.
• A dog walker visits daily and no pet care is requested.
• There is a gate that allows for some separation between rooms too, during tummy time for example.

The Role:

• This is a full charge role focused on loving, developmentally supportive care.
• Responsibilities are all child related such as feeding and bottle preparation, diapering, bathing, infant laundry and linens, and healthy meal prep as he grows.
• Days will include reading, talking, singing, tummy time, and age appropriate play both indoors and out.
• No driving, no travel anticipated and, no swimming.
• A cleaning service tends to bi weekly deep cleaning and nanny maintains the common areas in between, keeping stock when items run low and pitching in with a helpful hand as time allows.

Pets:

• Friendly & enthusiastic 40lb dog in the home. Dog walker visits daily and no pet care is requested.

You:

• Warmth, maturity, good judgment and experience are priorities.
• We seek a nanny who pays close attention to milestones and readiness cues and can work with us to ensure he’s ready for the next big moment.

The Pay & Benefits:

• $34-$39 per hour
• 2 weeks PTO- Family request one week to align and one week of your choice.
• Overnight Stipend (though none are generally anticipated)

• Paid holidays off in coordination with parents/employers holiday schedule
• A health care stipend can also be discussed.
