Housekeeper/Companion -Annapolis, MD

Location: Annapolis, MD
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week Typically Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm or 11:00am–7:00pm Flexibility required for occasional evenings and weekends as needed

A warm, respectful private family is seeking a Housekeeper/Companion to support their home and provide light companionship to their 20-year-old twins, both on the autism spectrum. This is a well-balanced role for someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, organized home while also bringing a positive, upbeat presence to the environment. The family is open to junior candidates with 3+ years of experience who are eager to grow in a long-term role.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee full-charge housekeeping, including daily cleaning, organization, and overall upkeep of the home to a consistently high standard
• Manage laundry, ironing, and wardrobe care with attention to detail and organization
• Maintain household systems, ensuring all spaces remain structured, tidy, and running smoothly
• Assist with light meal preparation and general kitchen upkeep as needed
• Provide warm, engaging companionship to the twins, acting as a positive, supportive presence in the home
• Support daily routines while encouraging independence, confidence, and a sense of structure
• Assist with occasional errands and additional household tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of relevant experience in private homes or similar environments
• Strong housekeeping standards and attention to detail
• Kind, patient, and naturally upbeat personality
• Comfortable working in a home with individuals on the autism spectrum
• Reliable, flexible, and proactive mindset
• Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence
• Ability to take direction while also working independently
