Part-time housekeeper and house manager needed for a landmarked, antique home. Children are grown and away school for the majority of the year and the Principals divide their time between NYC, CT and FL. When in-residence, job requirements include: house cleaning, laundry, ironing, changing of beds/ towels, feeding of dogs, coordination of property vendors as-needed, and occasional marketing/ shopping/ errands. When Principals are away, job is centered on home maintenance/ deep-cleaning and longer-term projects. Family is a recent transplant from the West Coast where they had several employees who worked in the home for 20+ years. They are reliable, reasonable and communicate well with all staff and employees.
For the right candidate, health insurance stipend available at 6 months, and clothing allowance available immediately. Car provided for use while working. Main home (not including guest house) is 4 BDR/ 4 BATH and of reasonable size scope for hours requested.
Ideal schedule would be 16-20 hours per week (though flexible to discuss). Must speak conversational English and be able to text/ email with proficiency.
