Description

We are seeking an energetic, service-oriented Seasonal Hospitality Assistant to support elevated culinary and front-of-house operations within a private seasonal estate during Summer 2026. This unique role is ideal for someone who brings warmth, polish, and patience to guest interactions and can multitask seamlessly in a dynamic, high-touch environment.

Working closely with the Chef, household team, and estate leadership, the Seasonal Hospitality Assistant is responsible for delivering an impeccable front-of-house experience while supporting daily dining, private entertaining, and bespoke hospitality services.

Schedule: This a full-time seasonal role on MDI, Maine (June/July through Labor Day) with the potential for overtime, and while the selected will need to have flexibility for work hours to accommodate hospitality needs, attention is paid to ensuring set time off approximately every 7-10 days.

Areas of Responsibility Include: 

Front-of-House & Guest Experience

  • Deliver a consistently refined, intuitive guest experience for Principals and guests.
  • Anticipate needs and respond thoughtfully to hospitality-related and bespoke requests.
  • Adapt quickly to changing schedules, preferences, and short-notice guest arrivals.

Culinary & Service Support

  • Support the Culinary team with daily service, events, and special initiatives.
  • Assist with meal planning, preparation, personalized service, plating, and cleanup.
  • Track menus, food photography, supplies, and proper food storage.
  • Ensure food quality, presentation, and timing meet private-service expectations.
  • Maintain pristine kitchen cleanliness and equipment care aligned with household standards.

Entertaining & Events

  • Prepare and service private dinner parties, celebrations, and seasonal holidays.
  • Support philanthropic luncheons or dinners hosted at the residence.
  • Set tables with linens, place settings, décor, and prepare small floral arrangements.
  • Provide on-site waitstaff service for intimate luncheons and dinners as needed.

Estate Operations

  • Support leadership in maintaining and updating Principal preferences.
  • Assist with hospitality inventory tracking and database upkeep.
  • Support personal requests such as grocery shopping, errands, and gifting.

Seasonal Expectations

  • Rapid onboarding with immediate operational readiness at season start.
  • Flexibility for long days during peak season, including weekends and holidays.
  • Assist with end-of-season inventory reconciliation, kitchen reset, and documentation handoff.

 

Qualifications

  • 3–7+ years of culinary or hospitality experience; private estate or UHNW environments strongly preferred.
  • Culinary school degree or certification (completed or in progress).
  • Proven success in personalized, non-commercial service settings.
  • Valid driver’s license and U.S. work authorization.
  • Ability to pass all pre-employment screening.
  • OSHA 10 preferred.
