Live-in Housekeeper/Cook Job in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
A valued returning client of Greycoat Lumleys is seeking an experienced Live-in Housekeeper/Cook to join their household in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.
The household is typically occupied by the two principals, with their adult children visiting occasionally.
The couple currently employ a full-time House Manager/Butler, who lives on-site, as well as a full-time Housekeeper. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and long-standing household team.
The role will include preparing lunch and dinner for the principals. They enjoy healthy, nutritious home-cooked meals, typically consisting of grilled meat or fish served with fresh salads and seasonal vegetables. The family is not looking for a qualified chef, but rather someone who is confident preparing simple, healthy meals to a high standard. The role also includes housekeeping duties.
Duties will include:
- Preparing fresh, healthy lunches and dinners for the principals on a daily basis
- Meal planning, food preparation, and kitchen organisation
- Making and changing beds as required
- Maintaining the cleanliness, presentation, and overall upkeep of the property to a high standard
- Laundry care and ironing
- General housekeeping duties, including cleaning, tidying, and household organisation
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous private household experience is essential
- Must be a confident driver
- Hard-working, discreet, and proactive
- Comfortable working as part of a close-knit, established team
- Dog-friendly and happy working in a household with dogs
Accommodation: A detached one-bedroom flat is provided. The clients are happy to consider partners and pets.
Working Hours: Friday to Tuesday, 8:00am – 6:00pm
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 gross per annum
Start Date: Ideally mid-July, although flexibility can be offered for the right candidate.
