Full-Time | Live-In | Multi-Residence (Palm Beach, Hamptons, Alpine, NJ)
Private Staff Group is representing a gracious, highly regarded family seeking a polished and service-oriented Estate Houseman / Cook / Butler to join their established household team. This is a dynamic, hands-on role supporting a multi-residence lifestyle across Palm Beach (winter season), The Hamptons (summer season), and Alpine, NJ (shoulder seasons).
This position is best suited for a well-rounded professional who takes pride in delivering exceptional standards of care, hospitality, and property oversight within a refined private home environment.
Core Responsibilities
Culinary & Service
- Prepare and/or assist with daily meals with a focus on fresh, clean, well-executed cuisine
- Collaborate seamlessly with existing staff on meal planning and execution
- Provide confident, polished meal service for principals and guests
- Manage grocery shopping, provisioning, and kitchen organization
Household & Property Support
- Maintain interior spaces to a high standard; support housekeeping as needed
- Oversee outdoor areas, including patios, pool, and general presentation
- Conduct routine property walks to proactively identify maintenance needs
- Coordinate and oversee vendors and service providers
Household Operations
- Run errands and support day-to-day household logistics
- Ensure residence security protocols are consistently maintained
- Provide attentive pet care for two dogs
- Support a smooth transition between seasonal residences
Candidate Profile
- Strong cooking ability with a genuine interest in health-conscious, elevated home cuisine
- Prior experience in a UHNW or high-level private household environment
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized
- Service-minded with a calm, discreet, and professional demeanor
Comfortable in a hybrid role combining culinary, service, and property responsibilities
- Excellent communication skills: fluent English required
- Valid driver’s license and confident driving ability
Schedule & Lifestyle
- 5-day workweek with two consecutive days off
- Flexibility required for evenings, weekends, and holidays based on household needs
- Seasonal travel between residences is an integral part of the role
