On behalf of a private family based in Divonne-les-Bains, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeper & Nanny to provide comprehensive support within the household.

This long-term position combines childcare responsibilities with the day-to-day management of a private residence. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring the smooth running of the home while providing attentive care to a young child.

The family is looking for a trustworthy, caring, and well-organized professional who enjoys working with children and takes pride in maintaining a comfortable and well-managed household. Flexibility is essential, as the role may involve accompanying the family during travel and stays at other residences.

Responsibilities

Household Care

Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of all areas of the residence
Carry out routine housekeeping tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing
Manage family laundry, ironing, wardrobe care, and clothing organization
Monitor household supplies and coordinate replenishment when necessary
Ensure the property remains organized, welcoming, and well-maintained at all times
Assist with the daily care and wellbeing of the family dog

Meal Preparation & Household Provisioning

Prepare nutritious and family-friendly meals on a daily basis
Plan grocery purchases according to household needs and menu requirements
Complete food shopping and maintain adequate stock levels
Keep kitchen areas clean, orderly, and fully functional

Childcare Responsibilities

Ensure the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of the child on a daily basis
Assist with morning and evening routines
Organize educational, creative, and recreational activities appropriate for the child’s age
Support the child’s development through engaging and stimulating interactions
Accompany the child to school, extracurricular activities, and appointments when required
Maintain regular communication with parents regarding routines and daily activities

Travel Support

Accompany the family to other residences and during travel periods
Adapt quickly to different environments while maintaining high service standards
Provide consistent childcare and household support regardless of location

Job Requirements

At least three years of experience in a similar private household position
Previous experience combining childcare and housekeeping responsibilities
Strong knowledge of household maintenance, garment care, and laundry management
Ability to prepare simple, healthy, and varied family meals
Valid driving licence required
Fluent French essential; English skills considered an advantage
Highly discreet and respectful of confidentiality
Reliable, patient, and attentive to detail
Positive attitude and strong sense of responsibility
Comfortable working independently and taking initiative

Salary

Net monthly salary between €3,500 and €5,000 depending on experience and qualifications
