POSITION OVERVIEW:
A private executive office is seeking an experienced, highly professional Executive Chauffeur / Corporate Driver based in Montgomery County, Maryland.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing safe, discreet, and reliable transportation for the Chief Executive Officer, company executives, employees, and invited guests. This position requires exceptional professionalism, flexibility, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm and attentive during long-distance travel.
In addition to driving responsibilities, the successful candidate may assist the company's facilities team with operational or property-related tasks approximately one to two days per week.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Executive Transportation
- Safely operate company-owned vehicles for executive and business-related transportation.
- Transport the Chief Executive Officer, company executives, employees, and invited guests safely and punctually.
- Plan driving routes in advance and identify the most efficient travel options.
- Monitor traffic, weather, road closures, construction, and other conditions that may affect travel.
- Adjust routes as necessary to avoid delays.
- Maintain the highest level of discretion and confidentiality at all times.
- Assist passengers with entering and exiting the vehicle when appropriate.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and handling luggage, packages, and personal belongings.
Vehicle Management
- Ensure company vehicles are clean, organized, comfortable, fueled, and ready for use.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
- Coordinate scheduled vehicle maintenance, servicing, detailing, and repairs as needed.
- Maintain accurate driving and travel logs, including arrival and departure times, mileage, fuel usage, and other required records.
Operational Support
- Proactively communicate delays, schedule changes, vehicle concerns, or route adjustments.
- Complete extended-distance driving assignments throughout the continental United States.
- Assist the facilities team with property, operational, delivery, vehicle, or maintenance-related tasks approximately one to two days per week.
- Perform additional duties and errands as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of four years of professional driving experience in a corporate, executive, private household, family office, hospitality, or similar environment.
- Previous chauffeur or executive transportation experience required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with Montgomery County, Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia, and the greater metropolitan area strongly preferred.
- Experience completing extended professional driving assignments highly desirable.
- Ability to pass comprehensive background and drug screenings.
- Exceptional driving, navigation, and road safety skills.
- Strong understanding of professional chauffeur etiquette and executive-level service.
- Excellent punctuality, reliability, discretion, and professional presentation.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding executives, passengers, schedules, conversations, destinations, and company matters.
- Strong organizational, time management, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain alert, patient, and attentive during extended drives.
- Proficient with GPS systems, navigation applications, and mobile communication devices.
- Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance and safety inspections.
- Ability to anticipate passenger needs while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules and last-minute requests.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
- Ability to lift and carry luggage, packages, and other items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- U.S. work authorization.
