Part-Time Housekeeper / House Manager — Organizing, Meal Prep & Household Service

A private family in Armonk, NY is looking for a highly organized, hands-on part-time housekeeper/house manager. You'll help keep our home clean, running smoothly, and beautifully organized. This role is roughly 20 hours per week across 3–4 days, with a flexible schedule we can negotiate together.

Responsibilities

• Housekeeping: regular cleaning and upkeep of the home, laundry and linen care, steam ironing, and general tidying.
• Ongoing organization throughout the home — kitchen, pantry, bedrooms, closets, play areas — keeping every space tidy and functional.
• Wardrobe organization: closets, drawers, and cabinets — with continuous upkeep to maintain them.
• Maintaining the organization systems already in place throughout the home.
• Meal prep: washing and drying produce, portioning food into grab-and-go snacks and lunches, prepping/marinating proteins, and following a recipe when needed.
• Unpacking and putting away: removing items from packaging and putting them in their place — especially in the kitchen, fridge, freezer, and pantry.
• Car resets: vacuuming, wiping down surfaces, and putting items back in their place as needed.
• Outdoor upkeep: maintaining porch and outdoor furniture areas as needed — leaf blowing porch areas to keep dust away from doors and furniture, and wiping down dust.
• Butler-style service touches: table setting, tidying before/after meals, occasional help when we host.
• Receiving deliveries and handling returns.
• Grocery shopping and stocking the kitchen and household supplies.
• General errands and light household logistics as needed.

Ideal Candidate

• Experience in a private home (house manager, housekeeper, household assistant, or professional organizer background).
• A natural organizer who takes pride in systems, order, and attention to detail.
• Comfortable with hands-on housekeeping and basic cooking — this is a doing role, not just a managing role.
• Self-directed — able to see what needs doing and handle it without close supervision.
• Reliable, trustworthy, and discreet; comfortable working in a family home with young children.
• Valid driver's license and own car (errands and grocery runs required).
• Excellent references from prior private-home employers.

Compensation

$35–40/hr depending on experience.
