Estate Caretaker 

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable, highly capable Estate Caretaker  to oversee the daily upkeep, maintenance and presentation of a high-end private property. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in their work, pays close attention to detail and is willing to roll up their sleeves to keep the property operating at the highest standard.

The ideal candidate is proactive, resourceful, discreet and experienced in a wide range of property maintenance responsibilities from landscaping and repairs to household support and vendor coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the appearance and functionality of all outdoor areas including lawns, gardens, walkways, patios, and driveways
• Perform seasonal landscaping duties including planting, trimming, irrigation checks, leaf removal, and storm cleanup
• Monitor exterior lighting, gates, fencing, drainage, and outdoor equipment
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, fixtures, appliances, and hardware

• Troubleshoot issues and proactively identify maintenance needs before they become larger problems
• Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance inventory
• Assist with setup and breakdown for events, deliveries, or household projects

• Handle moving furniture, organizing storage areas, and maintaining common spaces
• Support overall cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness of the property
• Coordinate and oversee outside contractors and service providers when needed

• Ensure work is completed properly and property standards are maintained
• Report maintenance concerns, safety issues, or improvement opportunities

Qualifications

• Strong handyman and property maintenance experience
• Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems
• Experience maintaining high-end residential or estate properties preferred
• Ability to operate landscaping and maintenance equipment safely
• Strong work ethic with a “no task too small” attitude
• Professional demeanor with respect for privacy and confidentiality
• Self-motivated, organized, and dependable
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work indoors/outdoors in varying weather conditions

Compensation
