FABULOUS FULL-TIME HOUSEKEEPER REQUIRED FOR HNW PROPERTY IN CHELSEA

We have a fabulous opportunity available for a dedicated Housekeeper with a positive, can-do attitude to work for an ultra-high-net-worth individual in their lovely home in Central London. Working closely with the House Manager, you will be responsible for the daily housekeeping and upkeep of this luxury 2-bedroom property, which is a secondary residence for the principal. This role is ideally suited to an ex-yacht stewardess now looking for the stability of a shore-based role, whilst still being happy to travel internationally.
You will have great knowledge of cleaning products and know how to care for fine furnishings, fabrics and artwork. Energetic and flexible in your approach, you will have excellent attention to detail and the ability to preempt needs, ensuring that the principals’ expectations are exceeded. Other duties will include laundry care and preparing healthy, light family-style meals for the principal, so the ideal candidate will be comfortable and confident in the kitchen, though no formal culinary training is required.
The successful candidate will be attentive, well-presented and have a strong work ethic and positive attitude as well as being very friendly and personable, whilst still remaining discreet and boundaried. Prior longevity in a similar role is essential, as well as the ability to switch seamlessly between quieter periods when the principal is not in residence, and busier times when they are in London. As part of the role, you will also be required to travel internationally for up to 12 weeks of the year (usually about 2 weeks at a time), so having a valid passport is of essence for this role.
Working a regular Monday to Friday week from 8am-4pm when the principal is not in residence, working hours will change to Monday to Saturday when the principal is in London. When the property is in use, you will work in weekly rotational shift pattern alongside another staff member, either from 8am-5pm or from 11am-8pm during weekdays, and a split shift pattern on a Saturday, which will be 8am-11am/12pm and then again from 4pm-7/8pm.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Cleaning including dusting, hoovering, mopping, changing beds, cleaning bathrooms
- Meal planning, preparation and cooking of healthy family-style meals (ideally)
- Caring for artworks, silver, high finishes etc.
- Laundry and ironing, including caring for delicate items
- Ad-hoc duties as required
- Maintaining of the outdoor patio area
- Assist with wardrobe management
- Packing and unpacking for the principal
- Travelling internationally with the principal
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- Prior experience in a similar role or onboard superyachts (highly desired)
- Fluency in English both spoken and written
- Hardworking and dedicated
- High attention to detail
- Flexibility with hours and duties
- Team player
- Valid passport that allows fuss-free international travel
- Trustworthy and reliable
- London-based with an easy commute to Chelsa
