Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced House Manager / Estate Operations Lead with a Chief of Staff–level skill set to oversee and actively support the operations of a complex, multi-residence household. This is a senior leadership role designed for candidates who have operated at the intersection of strategy, execution, people management, and high-touch service.
This role goes beyond traditional household management. The successful candidate will function as the operational leader and strategic partner to the Principals—providing oversight across staff, systems, homes, projects, and long-term planning while maintaining a concierge-level standard of service.

Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership

Act as the senior operational lead across all residences and household functions

Translate family priorities into clear operational plans, goals, and execution

Provide long-range planning for staffing, homes, systems, and service standards

Anticipate needs and proactively solve problems before escalation
Chief of Staff–Style Oversight

Serve as a strategic partner to the Principals, helping manage priorities, information flow, and execution

Ensure alignment between the EA, Family Assistants, Housekeeping team, and external partners
-
Prepare briefings, summaries, and operational updates as needed

Maintain high-level visibility into household performance, risks, and opportunities
Estate & Multi-Property Management

Oversee operations across Austin and San Francisco Bay Area properties

Manage relocations, renovations, property transitions, and seasonal planning

Ensure consistency in standards, systems, and service across all locations
People, Culture & Performance

Lead and develop a high-performing household team

Champion a culture of accountability, respect, service excellence, and growth

Set expectations, KPIs, and performance standards

Support hiring, onboarding, training, and professional development
Required Experience
-
5–10+ years in estate management, chief of staff, or senior household operations roles
-
Proven leadership in complex, multi-staffed environments
-
Experience overseeing multiple properties or principals

Strong background in operations, systems-building, and people management

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $160,000–$200,000 DOE

Discretionary Bonus: Performance-based, awarded annually
