PART-TIME PRIVATE CHEF / COOK
Position: Part-Time Private Chef/Cook
Location: Private residence in Long Grove, IL
Schedule: 3 non-consecutive days per week, including one weekend day
Preferred: Monday / Thursday / Saturday (ideal) OR Monday / Wednesday / Saturday
Compensation: Compensation commensurate with experience, ranging from a strong home cook to a private chef level candidate
Overview
A private family of three is seeking a long-term, part-time private chef to prepare fresh, high-quality meals in a warm and welcoming, family-oriented home. The ideal candidate is passionate about clean, from-scratch cooking and enjoys creating balanced, flavorful meals for both adults and a toddler, with the ability to seamlessly accommodate guests.
Responsibilities
- Plan weekly menus in collaboration with the family, accommodating dietary preferences and restrictions
- Source and shop for fresh, high-quality, organic ingredients
- Prepare lunch, dinner, and snacks on working days, including meals for guests when present
- Batch-cook and prepare meals for non-working days, with clear reheating instructions
- Maintain a clean, organized kitchen at all times
- Regularly clean, organize, and rotate items in the refrigerator and pantry
- Ensure all food is properly stored, labeled as needed, and maintained for freshness and safety
- Monitor inventory and ensure pantry and refrigerator are consistently well-stocked
- Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure overall kitchen functionality
