Prepare nutritious meals and light cooking for the children

Clean up after meals and activities in play areas and the kitchen

Support children’s emotional, social, and developmental well-being

Communicate proactively and clearly with parents regarding schedules, needs, and any concerns

Collaborate effectively with another nanny as part of a team-based caregiving approach

Proactively manage day-to-day household needs to ensure a well-functioning home

Maintain cleanliness, organization, and tidiness of children’s spaces and shared common areas

Perform light household tasks, including family laundry and changing bedsheets (deep cleaning handled by professional cleaners)

Restock household essentials (e.g., pantry items, toiletries, soap dispensers) and assist with basic household upkeep such as changing lightbulbs

Plan grocery shopping and manage household and pantry inventory

Coordinate family calendars, appointments, and communication with schools and outside activity providers

Research, suggest, and help enroll children in new activities and enrichment opportunities

Take initiative in managing household responsibilities while exercising sound judgment about when to consult parents before making decisions
