POSITION ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The following are duties, responsibilities, and leadership roles that the Housekeeper shall provide will include but are not limited to:

 

Household Maintenance & Cleaning

  • Perform daily cleaning of all household areas to the highest standards.
  • Maintain floors, carpets, windows, and surfaces.
  • Care for delicate items, including fine china, silverware, and artwork.
  • Ensure kitchens, restrooms, dining areas, and high-traffic spaces remain spotless.

 

Laundry & Wardrobe Management

  • Handle laundry with precision, including washing, ironing, folding, and organizing.
  • Manage wardrobes, closets, shoes, and accessories.
  • Provide fabric maintenance and garment care for delicate items.

Organization & Household Operations

  • Maintain household organization, including closets, storage areas, and the family center.
  • Track and manage household inventory; ensure groceries and supplies are stocked.
  • Prepare guest rooms and family living spaces.
  • Support organization of household events and gatherings.

Errands & Travel Support

  • Run errands such as grocery shopping and dry-cleaning pick-up.
  • Assist with packing, unpacking, and preparing for travel.
  • Accompany the family on domestic and international travel as needed.
  • Support accommodations and logistics while traveling.

Collaboration & Support

  • Work closely with other household staff to ensure seamless daily operations.
  • Walk and care for pets, including cleanup.
  • Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and household appointments.
  • Anticipate needs and proactively address household requirements.

 

 

EDUCATIONAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in luxury households, hotels, or other high-standard environments.
  • Expertise in laundry care, garment care, and wardrobe organization.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to adapt to tasks beyond housekeeping (errands, events, travel support).
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including private homes/yachts.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality at all times.
  • Flexibility for irregular hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record (preferred).
  • Ability to maintain a clean background check, drug screening, and driving record.
