We are looking for Chef/Cook who can support a casual family with a high standard of excellence. The ideal candidate should be comfortable preparing healthy and nutritious meals, exhibiting home-style cooking in line with the family’s dietary restrictions.
Responsibilities:
Manager and chef for all food service at the following locations: main residence in Greenwich, CT, a secondary residence in NYC.
Cooking lunch and dinner for owners daily and leaving breakfast meals as needed.
Cooking lunch for staff at residence daily.
Oversee all culinary and event operations at the residence, including preparing meals for meetings, guest stays, and special occasions, while planning, coordinating, and supervising events of all sizes and managing additional staff as needed for seamless execution.
Responsible for household food inventory including buying, storing, hygiene and sanitation as well as efficient cost management.
Ongoing sourcing of healthy food techniques, local farm to table purveyors.
Record favorite meals of the employers and work continuously on new recipes and repertoire.
Manage expense tracking and approvals in accordance with established financial systems and reporting protocols.
Work well as a member of a collaborative residence team.
Qualifications:
Must have longevity and experience in a comparable role-residence specific.
Must have a clean driving record.
Comfortability preparing simple, healthy meals as well as high end cuisine if needed
Low ego and be open to feedback and improvements overall.
An upbeat and transparent personality is a must. Will interface directly with high profile guests.
Works on iPhone and Mac platforms as well as Outlook/PC platforms.
Must hold the utmost discretion and confidentiality standards.
