Private Chef – UHNW Family (International Travel)
A private family is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Private Chef to oversee all culinary needs across multiple residences. The ideal candidate will combine strong professional kitchen training with recent experience working in private households, and be comfortable operating within a discreet, service-oriented home environment.
Position Overview
The Private Chef will be responsible for preparing daily meals for the principals as well as occasional small-scale entertaining. The role requires flexibility, organization, and the ability to adapt to the rhythm of private household service while maintaining the culinary standards of a top professional kitchen.
The family maintains residences in Miami, New York, Aspen, and the United Kingdom, and the chef will travel with them throughout the year. Miami no housing will be provided but housing will be provided when traveling, all separate off site apartments
Typical Annual Schedule

Miami: January – early May Consider this your home base as its where you will stay the longest.

New York: approximately 1–2 weeks in May and again in mid-September

Aspen: August and early September, and occasionally over the holidays

United Kingdom: the remaining months of the year
Candidates must be comfortable with an international travel schedule and working across multiple homes.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare daily meals for the principals, focusing on fresh, clean, seasonal cuisine

Plan weekly menus aligned with the principals’ preferences and travel schedule

Source high-quality ingredients and manage provisioning

Maintain an organized and sanitary kitchen environment

Prepare and execute small dinner gatherings and entertaining for approximately 10–15 guests (not often)

Coordinate with household staff during events and meal service

Manage kitchen inventory and equipment across multiple residences

Adapt menus and service to different homes and locations throughout the year
- Premaking Breakfast items for grab and go
- Lunch and Dinner will be served for the family. The chef does not have to stay through dinner once served.
Culinary Style
The principals prefer clean, healthy cooking with high-quality ingredients. Meals should be flavorful but not heavy; cream sauces and excessive dairy are generally avoided.
Candidate Profile

Formal culinary training or experience in a top-tier restaurant environment

Recent experience working as a private chef in a private household strongly preferred

Compensation

Salary: $180,000 – $250,000, depending on experience
