We are currently looking for a full-time Caregiver/Companion for a lovely lady residing in Boca Raton in a fine assisted living facility. We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and engaging full-time companion. The schedule is Monday- Friday, 9 AM-7 PM, and we are looking for someone who will provide not just care, but companionship, encouragement, and help improve her quality of life.
Responsibilities include assisting with dressing and daily routines. She is fairly independent; she showers herself, but needs guidance, reminders, and someone to keep her engaged and active. She enjoys going out daily, whether it's shopping, appointments, or simple outings. Simple meal prep is necessary, and reminders to eat are sometimes necessary. There are light housekeeping duties and laundry, while running errands with her in her car.
The ideal candidate has experience with Alzheimer's/dementia care. Warm, patient, and kind go a long way. We need someone who enjoys being active and social.
Prior caregiving experience necessary, and must have verifiable references. A valid driver's license and a clear driving record are necessary. A non-smoker is a must. This could be a long-term assignment, and we are looking for someone who can connect with her, keep her spirits up, and become part of her daily life.
