Position Title: Yacht Stewardess
Location: Florida (Winter) & Shelter Island, NY (Summer)
Schedule: Full-Time, Year-Round (Seasonally Based)

Housing: Provided while in Shelter Island, NY
Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year plus full benefits
Position Overview
The principals are seeking a polished, detail-oriented, and professional Yacht Stewardess to support the Captain and crew in maintaining the vessels to the highest standards. This is a hands-on role requiring strong housekeeping skills, organization, and formal service experience.
The ideal candidate values structure, professionalism, and accountability, and takes pride in maintaining immaculate interiors while delivering a seamless and elevated guest experience. This role is split seasonally between Florida/Bahamas cruising in the winter and Shelter Island, NY in the summer.
Key Responsibilities Interior Maintenance & Housekeeping
• Maintain immaculate interior presentation at all times
• Full-charge cleaning of all cabins, heads, galley, and common areas
• Laundry care including washing, ironing, steaming, and wardrobe management
• Proper care of fine materials, finishes, and furnishings
• Deep cleaning during yard periods and seasonal transitions
• Maintain organization of interior storage, linens, and supplies
Guest Service & Hospitality
• Provide professional, polished service to principals and guests
• Table setting, beverage service, light bartending, and meal presentation
• Assist with light meal preparation when needed
• Prepare cabins for arrivals, including turn-down service
• Ensure a welcoming and stress-free onboard environment
Provisioning & Inventory
• Manage interior inventory, linens, and guest supplies
• Assist with provisioning under Captain’s direction
• Track and maintain approved spending guidelines
• Ensure proper storage and organization of all interior items
Crew Collaboration
• Work closely with Captain and crew to ensure smooth operations
• Support adherence to onboard policies and professional standards
• Assist with light deck support when needed (fenders, lines, washdowns — if experienced)
• Contribute to a respectful, policy-driven onboard culture
Owner Experience & Discretion
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretion
• Respect household boundaries and principals’ preferences
• Represent the principals professionally with marinas and vendors
• Anticipate needs while maintaining appropriate structure and boundaries
Qualifications & Experience
• Prior experience as a Yacht Stewardess on private vessels preferred
• Strong housekeeping and laundry expertise
• Experience with silver service and elevated guest hospitality
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Professional, structured, and policy-driven mindset
• Comfortable with seasonal travel and itinerary changes
• Valid passport required
• STCW certification preferred
